2 juveniles involved in Logansport shooting


INDIANAPOLIS-- Two juveniles were involved in a shooting in Logansport on Sunday.

According to a press release, officers with the Logansport Police Department were dispatched to an alcohol store situated in the 3800 block of East Market Street on a report of shots fired around 6:39 p.m. When cops got to the scene, they discovered that a fired round struck a nearby lorry.

LPD reported that the round triggered the lorry's rear chauffeur's side window to break. Police later figured out a juvenile sustained minor injuries while in the back of the car that was shot. The injured juvenile was treated at the scene.

Investigators later on consulted with several witnesses and identified a suspect. Deputies with the Cass County Sheriff's Office situated the suspect in a car.

Police carried out a traffic stop with the suspect, who was later on determined as a juvenile. The suspect was taken into custody without event, per LPD.

The juvenile preliminarily deals with 4 felony charges:



  • Criminal recklessness with a gun-- Level 5 Felony


  • Intimidation with a fatal weapon-- Level 5 Felony

  • Battery on a juvenile with a fatal weapon-- Level 5 Felony

  • Pointing a gun-- Level 6 Felony



LPD did not call the arrestee in its release.
