2 men implicated of May bank burglary in Lexington apprehended in Tennessee


It occurred around 4:20 p.m. on May 21 at Forcht Bank on Southland Drive.

According to Lexington authorities, 2 guys entered the bank using high-visibility vests and sweatshirts and demanded money before getting away the scene. Utilizing the Real-Time Intelligence Center, traffic electronic cameras, license plate readers, and Fusus, investigators had the ability to identify the men as 26-year-old Markwez Wynn and 26-year-old Stephen Hampton.

On Wednesday morning, Lexington authorities stated that both men were jailed in Nashville, Tennessee, by the FBI and Metropolitan Nashville Police Department.

Both Wynn and Hampton deal with first-degree burglary charges and are lodged at the Davidson County Downtown Detention Center, awaiting extradition to Fayette County.

Per detention center records, Hampton is being held on a $100,000 bond and Wynn on a $250,000 bond.
