2023 California Capital Airshow sees record-breaking attendance

(FOX40.COM)-- 10s of countless people went to the 17th Yearly California Capital Airshow making it a record-breaking year for participation at Mather Airport.

The two-day occasion had more than 105,000 participants when it officially finished up on Sunday, according to organizers.

This year's show included efficiencies from a few of the world's most thrilling aircraft and finest pilots consisting of the United States Air Force Thunderbirds jet demonstration group.

Other aircraft that filled the Sacramento skies were the U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster Demonstration and Navy F-18 Super Hornet.

" The feeling of bringing the Airshow back to complete capability for the first time since 2019 is inexpressible," California Capital Airshow Executive Director Darcy Brewer stated. "It was a best weekend, made even more unforgettable by seeing the pleasure and excitement the event brought to the Sacramento area's households and aviation enthusiasts."

Prior to the two-day event, the Airshow hosted a free community occasion on Friday at Village Green Park in Rancho Cordova where the public got the opportunity to satisfy airshow performers.

" We are specifically grateful to the over one thousand volunteers who work relentlessly to produce this thrilling and meaningful neighborhood occasion year year," Brewer stated. "We merely couldn't do it without them."

Organizers stated planning for the 2024 event is already underway. Details about next year's occasion will be release in the approaching months.
