4 suspects with supposed gang ties arrested in violent Southern California home invasion robbery


Four suspects with supposed gang ties were apprehended in connection to a violent home intrusion robbery in San Bernardino County.

The suspects were recognized as:



  • Marcos Guerrero, 48, of Glendora


  • Elijah Gafare, 35, of West Covina

  • Cynthia Leal, 38, of Ontario

  • Vincent Solarez, 58, Upland



The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department thinks all 4 suspects have gang incorporate the Inland Empire and are accountable for a series of home intrusions, assaults, and extortions of local entrepreneur.

The intrusion occurred on March 12 as the suspects burglarized a home on the 18000 block of Valley Boulevard in Bloomington at around 3 a.m

. The victims, a guy and a woman, were awakened by the suspects at gunpoint. The male victim was attacked and pistol-whipped, while the lady was held against her will, deputies stated.

The suspects stole around $12,500 in money and took the hard disk drive to the home's monitoring cameras together with the victims' automobile.

After the suspects left, the male victim called the police for help. He was transported to a regional healthcare facility for treatment.

Detectives later determined three suspects involved and a search warrant at 2 separate homes was served on May 30. Guerrero and Leal were jailed at an apartment or condo in Glendora. Gafare was detained at a home in West Covina.

On June 11, detectives found a 4th suspect, Solarez, was supposedly involved in the home invasion. Solarez was found driving in Upland near the intersection of North Campus Avenue and East Washington Boulevard.

He was pulled over and detained at the scene. A search warrant at Solarez's home yielded evidence associated to the home intrusion, deputies stated.

All four were apprehended on charges of property break-in, assault with a firearm, and conspiracy to devote a felony.
