7 hurt, consisting of suspect throughout house fire in Johnson County


SHAWNEE, Kan. - - Seven individuals are in the health center after a home fire early Saturday early morning in Shawnee.

Around 3:45 a.m., Shawnee police and fire departments reacted to reports of a disruption and home fire near the 6600 block of Goode Drive.

When firefighters arrived they found a fire in the basement of the house and rapidly got the fire out, according to SFD.

Shawnee Fire reports that 7 people were hurt consisting of one suspect.

Shawnee Police, Shawnee Fire and the Johnson County Sheriff's Office Criminalistics Laboratory are at the scene examining.

A section of Goode Drive is obstructed off due to the examination.
