A few showers and storms could affect Memorial Day plans

HOUSTON, Texas (BNN)-- Memorial Day will be a near repeat of Sunday with a somewhat better opportunity for more scattered storms throughout Southeast Texas.
Monday will start off muggy with temperatures warming up quite quickly, into the mid-upper 80s by the afternoon.
Memorial Day will include the opportunity for more scattered storms though, few of which might bring pretty heavy rain, thunder and lightning.
Will my Memorial Day prepares be washed-out?
There is a 30 percent opportunity for rain across Houston Monday, which is greater than Sunday'& #x 27; s rain chance. Still, it'& #x 27; s absolutely nothing to cancel plans over however you'& #x 27; ll wish to have a back-up plan for any outdoor activities, particularly in the afternoon and early night. Know though that flood susceptible locations and ponding on roads might be a concern with the most significant storms that develop.
