A man has been arrested in Indianapolis after reportedly breaking into a home on the west side of the city and raping a mother and her daughter while recording it on his phone. According to court documents filed on Sunday, 21-year-old Teshon Gardner has been charged with two counts of rape, each a Level 1 felony, for an incident at a home on S. Worth Avenue on Saturday. Around 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to a call about a recent rape. Upon arrival, a woman at the scene informed them that she and her 12-year-old daughter had been raped at gunpoint inside their home. The woman told police that she had just returned from a tire shop when she heard a knock on the front door. When she opened it, a man wearing an American Flag mask was pointing a handgun at her and demanded to be let inside. Once inside, the man proceeded to rape the woman on the couch and floor while looking at family pictures on the wall. He then asked if there was anyone else in the house, to which the woman replied no. The man then stopped and walked to where the woman's children were sleeping. He told her to bring one of the children to the living room. After this, the man raped both the woman and her 12-year-old daughter multiple times. The woman told police that the man, later identified as Gardner, arrived at her home around 11:30 a.m. and left at 12:30 p.m. She described him as having an indecipherable tattoo starting with the letter "M" and said he recorded the assaults on his phone. Using the description and nearby surveillance cameras, police located a blue Ford F-150 associated with Gardner at a home on W. 28th Street. Gardner was later apprehended during a traffic stop on W. 30th Street and Annette Street. During an interview with police, Gardner denied any involvement in the assaults and claimed to have spent the day driving around. However, when asked about his tattoo, he showed them a "Motown" tattoo on his left torso. He could not explain how the victims would have known about the tattoo.
