COLLETON COUNTY, S.C.-- Alex Murdaugh is anticipated to take the stand Thursday in his double-murder trial.

Murdaugh is implicated of eliminating his spouse Margaret and youngest boy Paul at their household residential or commercial property in June of 2021.

Murdaugh's lawyers laid the groundwork for the statement Wednesday when defense lawyer Jim Griffin asked Judge Clifton Newman to limit the scope of the prosecution's cross-examination of Murdaugh, keeping in mind that Murdaugh is on trial for murder, not monetary criminal activities.
