Animal rescue founder in court on ruthlessness charges


CUYAHOGA COUNTY, Ohio-- The creator of an animal rescue implicated of leaving 146 dogs to pass away at her Mantua house pleaded not guilty to additional ruthlessness to animal charges in Cuyahoga County.

Barbara Wible, 68, appeared in court Thursday early morning. The creator of Canine Lifeline Inc. pleaded innocent and was released a $10,000 bond. She was also bought to not have any animals.

The court look follows a June 2 search of her house in Parma where detectives discovered Wible collapsed on the flooring of the house, together with 12 dead pet dogs and another 24 pets that had been badly ignored-- some of which had not been fed given that March, according to authorities. She was prosecuted on 36 felony counts of cruelty to animals.

Wible has also recently pleaded not guilty in Portage County Common Pleas Court and was released a $100,000 personal recognizance bond. There, charges came after detectives discovered 146 decomposing and dead pets at her Mantua Township home.

Wible is due back in court Sept. 12 at 9 a.m.
