Authorities have reported three suspected attacks by Yemen's Houthi rebels on a ship in the strategic Bab el-Mandeb Strait, connecting the Gulf of Aden to the Red Sea. These attacks occurred on Thursday and Friday, with no immediate claim from the rebels. The assaults come after a series of attacks targeting shipping in the Red Sea corridor, believed to be in response to Israel's actions in the Gaza Strip.
Following a two-week pause, the attacks have resumed, coinciding with the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Iran. The Houthis, who receive support from Iran, have raised concerns about the potential escalation of the conflict into a regional war.
