Baton Rouge veterinarian launches kids's book about saved raccoon's journey


BATON ROUGE, La. (BNN)-- Dr. Bob Marshall, a Baton Rouge veterinarian, is releasing a kids's book that informs the experiences of a real-life raccoon he raised and launched back into the wild.

The kids's book is called "Hi! My Name is Betty!"


" Hi! My Name is Betty!" follows the raccoon being rescued, her visit to Marshall's veterinary clinic and her "spirited shenanigans" at Marshall's home.

Baton Rouge author releases kids's book on favorable affirmations


" I wanted to share Betty's amazing journey to teach kids about empathy, friendship and the wonders of the animal kingdom," stated Marshall. "Her story reveals the true delight that people and animals can provide for each other, and I hope readers are motivated and amused by Betty's real-life experiences."

According to the release, Betty is free and living in the wild however will periodically return to Marshall's home for deals with.

The book is now offered online at Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
