Caltrans is hosting a free dump day event at the Caltrans maintenance lawn situated at 8502 Railroad Ave. in Santee on Saturday, March 2. The event happens from 8 a.m. to twelve noon, or till the website reaches capacity.
The dump site will not accept contaminated materials consisting of batteries, paint, oils and combustible materials; construction products such as concrete, asbestos, asphalt and dirt; wood waste, and freezers and fridges. Compressed gas and aerosols will also not be accepted.
Caltrans will accept 4 bed mattress and four tires (without rims consisted of) per household.
