Caught on video: Camels on the loose at Cedar Point

SANDUSKY, Ohio (BNN)-- Video reveals a wild surprise for some who went to Cedar Point Tuesday.

Justin Garcia, who was at the park with his household, captured the video above showing two camels outside their home at the park's petting zoo.

One camel appears to get scared and jumps a couple of times near to some of the park visitors.

Here's what Cedar Point had to state about it:

" Last night, the camels decided to take an unintended walk just outside their home at The Barnyard," stated Cedar Point's Tony Clark. "We're looking into how they made it to the midway."

When they saw the camels, Garcia said he 'd simply gotten off a trip.

" We were practically run over by 2 enormous mammals," Garcia said. "We put some area in between us and viewed the after-effects of what might have been a very dangerous situation."

No one was harmed, according to Clark.

Wednesday, the camels were seen from SkyFOX sound and safe in their enclosure enjoying the shade and some food.

The Barnyard lies along Frontier Trail in Cedar Point. There are numerous farm animals, including cows, sheep, goats, piglets, donkeys and more.
