Cedar Point unveils 'Top Thrill 2' train car design


SANDUSKY, Ohio-- Thrill candidates and Cedar Point fans have lastly gotten a glimpse of Cedar Point's latest record-breaking roller coaster.

The producer unveiled the new train designs for Top Thrill 2 throughout the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions Expo in Orlando this week.

Cedar Point posted a picture of the train on Facebook Tuesday with the caption, "Behold! #TopThrill 2's blue train has just been revealed! Find out more about the tech behind it in our latest Top Thrill 2 Pit Stop!"

The Facebook post likewise linked to a video of the Top Thrill 2 Pit Stop video, which is part of a series of behind-the-scenes material a Cedar Point.

" Welcome to the Top Thrill 2 Pit Stop video series, where we take you "behind the wall" to upgrade you on whatever that's happening. Get your first look at one of Top Thrill 2's smooth trains in this preview from IAAPA Expo in Orlando with Zamperla. The blue train is one of 3 that will be utilized in normal operation.

The blue train functions red and white lines and a "CP" as a nod to Cedar Point.

Two scratch-off tickets worth $50K sold at local Speedways


Authorities say the train was influenced by high-performance racing.

When it opens in 2024, leading Thrill 2 will be the World's Tallest and Fastest LSM triple launch coaster.
