Students at Scotts Valley High School (SVHS) in California kicked off the school's 25th-anniversary celebrations with a bang on Friday. The school community came together to mark this significant milestone with a series of exciting events planned throughout the year.
SVHS principal, Joe Allen, expressed his enthusiasm for the celebrations, stating, "Today was the kick-off of our 25th anniversary of Scotts Valley High School, and we are excited to have the kids celebrate not only this year, but also the year of 2025--the graduating class."
As part of the festivities, teachers released students around 10 a.m. to gather on the football field and spell out a giant '25' with the entire student body. A drone operated by Covello & Covello Photography captured an impressive aerial shot of the number formation.
Reflecting on the sense of community at SVHS, Allen shared, "I love continuing to be a part of the community. It's my first year at the high school, and it's a fantastic community. It's great to see how our students continue to grow, watch them be supported, and sent off to do great things."
Allen previously served as the principal of Scotts Valley Middle School before transitioning to SVHS, where he has been an integral part of the school's growth and success.
