Child, teenager eliminated in I-90 crash identified


CLEVELAND (BNN) - - Officials have determined a child and a teenager killed in a crash on Interstate 90.

The multiple-vehicle mishap occurred in the westbound lanes quickly after midday on Monday, April 1. The crash closed down the interstate near West 98th Street/West Boulevard for several hours.

Cleveland EMS validated to BNN News that both a kid and a teenager were killed in the crash.

Early Tuesday, the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner identified those eliminated as Iona McCray, 16, of Cleveland and Da'Shone McCray of Cleveland. Officials said they were still working to confirm Da'Shone's age.

According to the medical inspector, both passed away on the scene of the crash.

It's not yet clear what triggered the crash.
