China Launches First Phase of Revolutionary Satellite Internet Constellation

China has made a monumental leap towards creating a competitor to SpaceX's Starlink by initiating the launch of the first batch of satellites in a constellation that aims to consist of 14,000 satellites delivering broadband internet coverage from space.

Known as Qianfan, or Spacesail, this constellation is being hailed as China's response to SpaceX's Starlink, with the goal of joining other large-scale projects around the world offering satellite internet services.
