( BNN) - - U.S. Marshals on Thursday apprehended a convicted sex wrongdoer who failed to sign up after transferring to
Cleveland, then fled to Germany for numerous years to avoid prosecution.
In 2009, a Texas court founded guilty Stephan A. Pittman of sexual attack, according to a Thursday press release from U.S. Marshals. He was then needed to register as a Tier III sex offender under the Adam Walsh Act.
The assault involved 23-year-old lady who was his associate, according to Ohio Attorney General records.
Pittman left prison in 2014 then transferred to
Cleveland, according to Marshals. He presumably broke his registration requirement and the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Office obtained a warrant for his arrest.
Marshals searching for Pittman in 2016 stated he was known to spend time bars in Lakewood, impersonating previous Tennessee Titans quarterback Vince Young, BNN News reported.

" Pittman left, becoming a fugitive," checks out the release.
" While living in Germany, Pittman was again convicted of a sex offense, this time the forcible rape of a 15-year-old lady.".
Pittman, now 46, returned to the U.S. in 2023 and was arrested on his exceptional warrant from Cuyahoga County, according to the release. He was released on a $10,000 personal bond in the Cuyahoga County court, then stopped working to stand for a March hearing, causing a new arrest warrant, records reveal.

Marshals in Maryland arrested him once again on Thursday morning, according to the release. He stays in federal custody awaiting hearings in
Cleveland and Maryland.

Records reveal Pittman is due for trial in Cuyahoga County on May 13.
