CHESTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) – – Pennsylvania State Police state they believe escaped prisoner Danelo Cavalcante is still in Pennsylvania, however there is no defined search area, as the manhunt strikes its 12th day.
Cavalcante, who escaped from Chester County Prison after being sentenced to life for fatally stabbing his ex-girlfriend in 2021, took a trip at least 20 miles northeast to East Pikeland Township and
Phoenixville and stole a van.
State Police state they recuperated the deserted dairy van outside of the original search radius this weekend.
Despite no sightings since Monday afternoon, Lt. Colonel George Bivens with the Pennsylvania State Police says he thinks Cavalcante is still in Chester County.
