Deputies with the
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department reacted to a call reporting that a girl was suffering from a "psychological health crisis" just 15 minutes before she passed away of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at the neighboring sheriff's station, officials validated Monday morning.
Constable's say the City of Industry station got a household disruption call from the woman's foster moms and dads at 7:25 p.m. In the call, they told authorities the girl was having a "psychological health crisis" and requested assistance on Clintwood Avenue in the city of La Puente.
Deputies got to the scene but the girl had actually currently left on foot. Nobody knew her destination, officials said.
Authorities allege a young girl stole a gun from a deputy and died of a self-inflicted gunshot injury on March 24, 2024. There was a physical altercation inside the lobby, where authorities allege that a young lady stole a deputy's weapon and shot herself. The juvenile woman passed away at the scene on March 24, 2024.
Around 7:40 p.m., the lady, recognized just as a Hispanic juvenile, knocked on the front door of the constable's station in the City of Industry-- about one mile from the address deputies were sent to. She then "lunged" inside the lobby and grabbed a deputy's gun.
A struggle taken place but equipped with the deputy's gun, the young girl suffered a self-inflicted gunshot injury. She passed away at the scene.
The constable's department said the examination was still in its early stages. No additional details, consisting of the age of the lady, were immediately provided.
