DECATUR, Ala. (BNN)-- The Decatur Police Department (DPD) states 2 people, consisting of a 17-year-old, were required to the health center Saturday after two different shootings.
A department spokesperson stated at around 2:50 p.m. Saturday Morgan County Central Dispatch received a call from the Parkway Medical Center saying that a male was generated with a gunshot wound. DPD stated the man's injuries were non-life-threatening.
According to authorities, officers met the victim and were informed the shooting took place in the 1000 block of Hoover Avenue SW.
DPD said later at 7:05 p.m. dispatch gotten a different call stating a 17-year-old young boy had actually been brought to the hospital with a gunshot wound. The department stated the teen likewise received non-life-threatening injuries.
The spokesperson said officers were told the shooting happened during a robbery in an alley in the 1200 block of 6th Avenue SE.
DPD stated it is thought the two shootings were both isolated incidents.
