LEXINGTON, Ky. (BNN)-- The 13th intermediate school is on the way for Fayette County Public Schools (FCPS), and leaders require to choose who will go to.
Mary E. Britton Middle School is set to open in 2025. The district allowed the public to ask questions and voice their concerns about rezoning at a public online forum Thursday night.
Located in the Hamburg location of
Lexington, Mary E. Britton Middle School has a target conclusion date of June 2025, per FCPS. (FCPS).
Steve Hill, Director of Pupil Personnel, FCPS, said, "There are sometimes disappointments; either some do not wish to be moved or some feel like they are left out because they weren't moved, so my goal tonight is to reduce that disappointment.".

" When you develop that kind of limit, it separates kids quite quickly, and my concern is what that can do to a community," stated Marcus Patrick, a Woodhill neighborhood local.
