FPD: Male apprehended after Taco Bell break-in, fled, fired gun


FISHERS, Ind.-- Officers from the Fishers Police Department jailed a guy after he apparently robbed a local dining establishment, got away from police and fired a handgun early Sunday early morning.

Around 1:30 a.m., FPD officers were called to the Taco Bell on Allisonville Road on the report of a break-in and carjacking. According to FPD, they had received initial dispatch information that suggested three males had entered the drive-through window, requiring cash with guns drawn. Reportedly, one of these suspects had likewise taken an automobile coming from a Taco Bell worker. Nobody was hurt in this tried robbery, police stated.

FPD composed that they located the taken lorry southbound on Allisonville Road and conducted a traffic stop. According to a news release, the vehicle's chauffeur and sole occupant, identified as 24-year-old Fredrick Nance, exited the car and fled the scene on foot.

With assistance from a K-9 group, officers chased after Nance down. Throughout this pursuit, officers heard a gunshot, per a press release. No officers nor the K-9 were struck by a bullet though, nor was anyone injured.

FPD reports that they were able to reach Nance and take him into custody with a K-9 apprehension. As stated in the release, Nance had a number of pieces of proof belonging to the victims. A Glock with a machine gun conversion gadget connected to it was also located near the scene, cops stated.
