Fresno City College explains objectives, showcases highlights during 'State of the College' address

FRESNO, Calif. (BNN)-- Fresno City College is setting objectives for the future and highlighting achievements of the past.
Friday, the university hosted its yearly "" State of the College."".
As the sun started to increase and breakfast was served, President Robert Pimentel welcomed guests to the annual "" State of the College."".
The presentation got in progress quickly after.
President Pimentel states trainee success stays their biggest focus.
"" How do you keep students here and how do you get them to the finish line? That'& #x 27; s another essential objective of ours,"" Pimentel stated.
Interim Vice President of Instruction Ghada Al-Marsi says registration is on the rebound following numerous years of decline due to the pandemic.
Consisted of in those numbers are the more than 800 trainees who are now registered at the brand brand-new West Fresno Campus.
Much of them come straight from the campus' & #x 27; surrounding area.
"" We wanted to serve and embed ourselves into that community so that we can come from them,"" Al-Marsi stated.
In spite of the momentary decrease in registration, Vice President of Student Services Lataria Hall states graduation rates progressively increased.

In athletics, there'& #x 27; s plenty to celebrate at FCC.
In 2015, the guys'& #x 27; s battling team won the state championship and 7 other sports won Valley titles.
Trainees and personnel are prepared to cheer them on again this year.
The college is continuing to grow.
Building and construction is in progress today on a new kid development center, science structure, and later this month, the grand opening will be held for the very first responders building, which houses the fire, cops and emt academies.
