GEORGETOWN, Texas (KXAN)-- The City of Georgetown said Wednesday a new ordinance entered into impact for Georgetown water clients.

According to City of Georgetown, other changes included updates to water utilize constraints when the City is not in what it called a Drought Contingency (the city is currently in drought stage 2), a brand-new cost structure, designer requirements, inspection requirements for business and HOA irrigation systems, and new watering timeframes for all watering methods.
Developers, builders, and irrigation-system installers will now be required to offer directions on the irrigation system's design and functionality, according to the city statement.
Furthermore, they need to provide info to homeowners on where to find the city's watering schedule and how to correctly preserve their irrigation systems.
Council likewise authorized an automated irrigation system audit ordinance that needs homeowner associations and nonresidential consumers to have irrigation systems examined every two years, according to the city statement.
