In the vibrant city of Eugene, a dazzling event is set to light up the night! The second annual Eugene BRiGHT Parade is back, promising an unforgettable experience filled with creativity, community spirit, and, of course, breathtaking art. After a triumphant debut in 2022, this year’s parade is poised to be even more spectacular!
Last year, Jerril Nilson of JLN Design received the coveted David Hauser Business of the Year award, and she had a wish that sparked a community celebration. “I said, ‘Before I die, I want a parade,’” recalls Nilson. True to her word, she teamed up with Jenette Kime to orchestrate a nighttime spectacle that transformed downtown Eugene into a canvas of illuminated artistry.
This year’s parade, themed “LiGHTEN UP,” promises to be a feast for the senses. With 27 entries expected, attendees can look forward to:
The multi-block parade kicks off at 7 PM on Saturday, September 28, starting at the corner of East 8th Avenue and Pearl Street. The route will take participants west to Lincoln Street, turning south to 11th Avenue, before returning to its starting point.
The parade will feature a panel of esteemed judges, including:
Adding to the festivities, KLCC’s Brian Bull will be the emcee, ensuring a lively atmosphere throughout the night.
Don't miss out on this vibrant community event! The Eugene BRiGHT After Party will follow the parade, running from 8 PM to 11:30 PM at Farmers Market Pavilion, located at 85 East 8th Avenue. Both events are FREE, making it a perfect outing for families and friends alike!
Join us for an evening of magic, creativity, and community connection that promises to be unforgettable. We can't wait to see you there!
