According to the Visalia Police Department, the incident occurred near the intersection of Burke Street and Houston Avenue shortly before 11:00 PM. Officers responding to emergency calls found a woman lying in the roadway with severe injuries. Despite life-saving efforts by first responders, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
