Hunter Biden indicted on guns charges

Hunter Biden has been arraigned on felony weapon charges weeks after a plea deal struck between President Biden's boy and district attorneys broke down.

Unique counsel David Weiss charged the more youthful Biden with one count of incorrect statement in purchase of a firearm, one count of incorrect declaration related to info needed to be kept by federal guns accredited dealership and one count of belongings of a firearm by an individual who is an illegal user of or addicted to a controlled substance.

The development comes a month after U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed Weiss as special counsel in the investigation into the president's boy.

Previously this year, Biden agreed to plead guilty to two misdemeanor offenses related to his filing of federal income taxes. Federal authorities also charged him with a felony firearm offense, for which he accepted go into a pretrial diversion arrangement that enables him to avoid prosecution. However that offer fell apart in July when the judge in the event said she is not prepared to accept the plea offer and required that legal representatives from both sides make clear that the deal does not communicate broad resistance used to Biden from prosecution on his service transactions.

The White House declined comment on the charges, referring reporters to the Justice Department and Hunter Biden's personal representatives, and noting that it is an independent examination.
