Individual shot by North Little Rock officer on Saturday

A North Little Rock policeman has been put on administrative leave after shooting a suspect over the weekend..

At about 11:45 p.m. Saturday, North Little Rock officers responded to the Jefferson Manor Apartments at 2600 Ashley Drive in reference to a group of suspicious individuals who were reported bring guns. The officers made contact with the group and an officer fired at least one shot, according to a press release from the authorities department..

One person was shot and was taken to a regional medical facility with non-life-threatening injuries..
