Liberty (22-3-1) will square off versus
Irvine (21-10) for the title Friday or Saturday at Barber Park in
Irvine. It will be a historical occasion, as the softball group is the first in school history to reach an area final. Liberty only opened its doors in August of 2021. The school's young boys swimming team did finish as Division 4 runner-up earlier this month.
Saturday was not the first time Liberty has used a big 6th inning to win in the playoffs.
