Jamestown male implicated of striking, restraining woman in apartment

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) - - This past Saturday afternoon, police in Jamestown arrested a man accused of assaulting and imprisoning a lady in an apartment or condo on the city's north side.

Over a number of hours, Jamestown police state Arthur Hubbard, 33, repeatedly struck, dragged and limited the female in a house whenever she tried to leave.

Authorities state the woman was ultimately able to get and get away to a pal's apartment or condo, where she was able to call authorities.

" Hubbard had actually damaged her phone," authorities stated.

Hubbard was charged with criminal mischief, assault, illegal jail time and criminal blockage of breathing/blood flow. He's being held pending arraignment.
