Leighton guy dead after being hit by automobile

COLBERT COUNTY, Ala. (BNN)-- Officials have validated a Leighton male died after he was struck by an automobile in Colbert County on Thursday.

When a car struck him, Colbert County Coroner Justin Gasque said 34-year-old Timothy Wood Jr. of Leighton was eliminated.

The event took place on 2nd Street, which is off River Road south of the Tennessee River near Highway 157.
