PLAIN COUNTY, Ohio – – A regional graphic artist is being introduced into the nationwide spotlight by another Northeast Ohio native and NFL super star.
" They sent me the subhead and an email was ‘‘ celebrity partnership' and I'm checking out through it and I'm trying to process it and I'm texting my hubby due to the fact that he ran out town for work and I'm like, ‘‘ you require to call me right now,'" stated Megan Cash.
The young mother and Kent State University graduate works full time at The J.M. Smucker Company and just draws after hours and on weekends when she's "feeling innovative."
However she's extremely skilled. Some of her greeting card styles are being sold at stores including Target and Pottery Barn.
" It's just definitely astonishing to me. No matter the number of times it occurs, I still get extremely thrilled when I see my stuff out there," she stated.
The largest choice of her work is available online. She has lots of customizable products posted on Minted.com, which is where
Philadelphia Eagles center and
Cleveland Heights native Jason Kelce and his wife Kylie saw it.
They picked the vintage plaid development for their personal vacation welcoming cards and a picture shoot project with Minted.com.
" The Kelce family went on Minted and selected my card out of a thousand various designs," said Cash. "They dealt with them to alter the color to match the
Philadelphia Eagles green."
Within 24 hours, the pictures, video and greeting card went viral worldwide with home entertainment and news reports on-air, in print and online.
" It's just pure excitement," stated Cash. "I never ever believed it would get as big as it's gotten in the last week and a half. It's just insane."
Cash and her other half are Browns fans, she states they knew all about the Kelce siblings and she grew up near the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton.
" So it's just actually cool," she said.

She's humbled and grateful that they picked her style and liked her work. She stated with a wry smile that she's open to assisting any other Kelce relative in the future, perhaps even wedding event invites.
"One of the very first things I considered is, Jason and Kylie will send this to Travis and then Taylor is going to see it and my name is on the back of their card. Maybe start the ball rolling," she said.
That remains to be seen, but the plaid design is definitely ending up being a fast seller with more than 1,100 already offered on Minted.com.
Will it change her life?
"I hope so," she stated with a hearty laugh and a huge smile.
