EL PASO, Texas - Excitement buzzes in the air as El Paso area runners make their mark at the UIL Region 1 cross country meet held in Lubbock, TX. With the UIL state cross country meet just around the corner on November 1-2 in Round Rock, TX, the stakes have never been higher!
Highlights from the Regional Meet
Lubbock played host to a thrilling competition where talent and determination shone through. Here are some standout performances:
- Eastwood Boys Cross Country Team: Secured a commendable second place in the 6A category, finishing just behind Southlake Carroll.
- Burges Boys Cross Country Team: Qualified for state by placing fourth in the Class 5A meet.
Numerous individual runners from the El Paso area also secured their spots, all vying for a chance to medal at the upcoming state competition. The road to Round Rock is paved with hard work and perseverance!
