A man is in custody after a deadly stabbing in Simi Valley on Saturday early morning, police verified.
Simi Valley police responded to an in-progress incident at 8:43 a.m. in the area of East Pinecrest Street and North Justin Avenue. According to authorities, it was a family disturbance that escalated to a stabbing by knife.
The victim, who has yet to be openly determined, died at a regional medical facility.

Gerardo Arroyo-Almanza, a 34-year-old Simi Valley man, was recognized as the suspect by cops. He was jailed on suspicion of murder and reserved into the Ventura County Sheriff's Office Pre-Trial Detention Facility.
