Marjae Williams jailed after driving repossessed Chevy Malibu off tow truck

28-year-old Marjae Cortezia Williams declined to let Christopher Burnett, a DC Towing and Recovery Truck chauffeur, reclaim her 2016 Chevrolet Malibu at her Dunbar Cave Road apartment in the early hours of February 20th. Williams then went into the car and drove it off the tow support, triggering damage and hindering him from repossessing it. David and Carolyn Gillard, who work for DC Towing, discussed how Williams drove off the tow support and backed into a telephone pole.

Marjae Cortezia Williams of Dunbar Cave Road in Clarksville, TN, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on February 20th, charged with hindering protected financial institutions, leaving the scene of a mishap, and negligent driving. A judicial commissioner set her bond at $10,000.
