The United States Tennis Association (USTA) has recognized three local destinations among its prestigious "Outstanding Facilities" list, celebrating their impressive contributions to the sport.

Out of a total of 41 recipients nationwide, South Florida's tennis centers stood out in several categories:

• Frank Veltri Tennis Center in Plantation
• Pompano Beach Tennis Center in Pompano Beach
• PayCargo Tennis Center in Miami

These facilities were evaluated based on various criteria, including:

1. Overall layout and adaptation to site
2. Excellence of court surface and lighting
3. Ease of maintenance
4. Accommodations for players, spectators, and officials
5. Aesthetics and landscaping

7. Participation in grassroots tennis programs

Frank Veltri Tennis Center

Located at 9101 NW Second St., Plantation, this facility features:

• 26 lighted clay courts
• 2 lighted hard courts
• Regular clinics and classes

Monthly adult memberships start at just $33, with no court fees!

Pompano Beach Tennis Center

Situated at 920 NW 18th Ave., Pompano Beach, this center boasts:

• 16 lighted Har-Tru clay courts
• 2 pickleball courts
• An on-site pro shop

Daily court rentals begin at $7.50 for locals, while annual memberships allow unlimited play for $300!

PayCargo Tennis Center

Located at 11200 SW Eighth St., Miami on the Florida International University campus, this state-of-the-art facility includes:

• 6 lighted courts
• New fencing and windscreens
• A livestream setup for matches

It regularly hosts community clinics, making it a hub for tennis enthusiasts of all ages!
