New University Hospitals immediate care center opens in Lakewood; Willowick center moving

UH Urgent Care Willoughby, 36001 Euclid Ave., Unit 5, throughout from UH Lake West Medical Center, is set to open on Monday, Oct. 30. The center is moving from UH Urgent Care Willowick along Lakeshore Boulevard, which is set to move by the end of the day on Saturday, Oct. 28.

Because of the health center's proximity, Willoughby clinic clients with extreme signs can be quickly rerouted to the emergency department, according to the release.

Starting Wednesday, Nov. 1, all UH Urgent Care websites will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, with unique hours on some vacations.

"By using more immediate care areas, we can alleviate the problem on emergency departments and minimize wait times so our emergency situation medicine teams can focus on important cases."
