A shocking incident has left the Orange County community in outrage after an off-duty Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officer was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence, striking and killing a pedestrian, then fleeing the scene. The deadly collision occurred late Saturday night, raising serious questions about accountability and law enforcement conduct.
According to witnesses, the officer was speeding through a residential area when the victim, identified as a local Orange County resident, was struck at a crosswalk. Bystanders reported hearing tires screeching followed by a loud impact, but instead of stopping, the driver accelerated away.
