One dead after southeast Columbus shooting

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH)-- An individual has passed away after being shot in the early hours of Friday early morning in southeast Columbus.

According to Columbus cops, reports of a shooting were contacted at 4:24 a.m. on the 3400 block of South Hamilton Road in the Winchester community, near U.S. Route 33. Police validated someone was in vital condition and was required to Mount Carmel East hospital. He was noticable dead at 5:41 a.m.

Police are searching for a suspect driving a black vehicle, but have no additional info yet on the suspect or what led to the shooting.
