Starting in 2026, Sound Transit will permit leashed dogs on its light rail trains, marking a significant policy shift for the Seattle-area transit system. The decision follows years of public feedback and growing demand for pet-friendly transportation options.

However, Queen Anne commuter Sarah Chen countered, "Trains get crowded enough without adding unpredictable animals to the mix. I hope they enforce the rules strictly."
