POLICE: Madison guy detained in Mississippi, implicated of traveling to fulfill child for sex act


MADISON, Ala. (BNN)-- A Madison male was arrested and charged with traveling to fulfill a child for an unlawful sex act, according to authorities.

At the beginning of June, the Madison Police Department began an examination into a male who had actually apparently been contacting a minor. They had gotten the tip from the Decatur Police Department.

Following an investigation, Madison Police got a warrant for 24-year-old Treyveon Putman of Madison, and he was apprehended by U.S. Marshals in Mississippi on June 20.

Putman was extradited to Madison and booked into the Madison County Jail on June 26.

He is charged with second-degree statutory rape, second-degree sodomy with a woman – – strong arm and traveling to meet a child for an illegal sex act. He is presently being held on an overall of $25,000 bond.
