Presume surrenders in 2017 NLR homicide


North Little Rock Authorities Department

A man desired for capital murder in a 2017 North Little Rock murder turned himself in to authorities the other day and is being held without bond..

Marshadrick Waddy, 37, was desired for capital murder and aggravated robbery in the murder of 36-year-old Damien Mitchell about seven years back, according to a North Little Rock Police Department news release..

At about 3:38 a.m. on July 28, 2017, North Little Rock officers reacted to a shooting in the 4800 block of Ira Street where they discovered Mitchell lying in the street with a fatal gunshot injury. Waddy was determined as being involved in the shooting, journalism release said..

Waddy is being held at the Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility and was scheduled for a preliminary court look this morning..

North Little Rock cops investigators prepare for "additional arrests in this case in the coming weeks," journalism release stated..
