Federal and state law enforcement agencies have dismantled a sprawling fentanyl trafficking ring in a historic operation spanning Oregon, California, Washington, Nevada, and Arizona. Authorities seized over 250 pounds of fentanyl—enough to kill more than 57 million people—marking the largest bust in U.S. history.
An 18-month investigation led by the DEA uncovered the sophisticated network distributing fentanyl pills disguised as prescription medications. Undercover agents infiltrated the organization, tracking shipments from Mexican cartel suppliers to U.S. distribution hubs.
"This wasn't just a drug bust—we stopped a weapon of mass destruction from flooding our streets," said Oregon State Police Captain Daniel Reeves.
