The Richmond High School softball program is celebrating a historic achievement as three of its standout players have been named to the Division 2 All-State Team. This remarkable recognition highlights the exceptional talent developing in Macomb County and puts Richmond softball on the statewide map.
"These girls have worked tirelessly to perfect their craft," said Coach Amanda Wilkins. "Their selection isn't just personal recognition—it's a testament to our program's growing reputation for developing elite players."
The Blue Devils finished their season 28-4, reaching the regional finals before falling to eventual state semifinalists. With two of the three honorees returning next season, expectations are already high for 2026.
While Johnson has committed to play for Central Michigan University, Thompson and Rodriguez are already drawing interest from Big Ten and SEC programs. Local fans won't want to miss watching these athletes develop before they potentially move on to collegiate stardom.
