Sacramento inmate's storage unit reveals $20K worth of stolen retail property

(FOX40.COM) - - A storage unit that belonged to a prisoner was discovered to be real estate over $20,000 worth of stolen merchandise from regional sellers, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office.

SCSO Organized Retail Crimes Detectives stated they got a pointer that led them to the inmate's storage unit. Stolen product from Nike and Marshalls was allegedly found inside of a prisoner's storage unit.

Photos of the items discovered inside the storage unit include over 40 sets of designer shoes, purses, bags, baggage, and a number of articles of clothes.

The Nike shop loss prevention team reportedly informed the sheriff's workplace that the inmate stole over $30,000 from the store. SCSO said it will process and return all seized residential or commercial property to the Nike and Marshalls shops.
