In a startling incident early this morning, a 46-year-old man was taken into custody following a violent confrontation at a beachfront home in Long Beach. The suspect, identified as Anthony Bartolo Olivas, faces serious charges including burglary and assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly breaking into a residence and stabbing another man during a struggle.
According to authorities, the unsettling event occurred around 5:10 a.m. in the Alamitos Beach neighborhood. Officers were dispatched to the location following reports of a burglary. Upon arrival, they were informed by the victim that the intruder had entered his home, leading to a physical altercation that resulted in the stabbing.
After the altercation, Olivas fled the scene but was quickly located by responding officers. However, he proved to be uncooperative during his apprehension.
