Southern University Founders' Month: See the list of occasions, celebrations


BATON ROUGE, La. (BNN)-- Southern University will be celebrating its 144th anniversary throughout March with a list of occasions and events.

Throughout "Southern University Founders' Month" in March, trainees will be honored for their academic accomplishments at the Founders' Day Convocation and there will be a list of activities happening throughout the month.

Among the highlighted occasions is the yearly Founders' Day Convocation that will be hung on Thursday, March 7 at 10 a.m. in the F.G. Clark Activity Center. According to a release, Dr. Russell J. Ledet will be giving the convocation address.

This year's theme is "Honoring our Legacy - - Living our Mission."
