Notification when we get to the end of May and early June is when we normally stop experiencing Tree pollen. On hint, Willow trees have actually leapt to the highest count of the season reaching 832 grains per cubic meter. Oak trees, the worst of them all during this time of the year, continue to remain in the ‘‘ Very High' classification with a tremendous 11,753 grains per cubic meter.
Find the most current irritant counts for Central Texas, as determined by PollenSense, an automated pollen sampling device that provides KXAN upgraded counts every minute, instead of once a day. Here is what our jam-packed pollen slide showed from early Monday morning:

Our sensing unit uses artificial intelligence to identify different irritants. KXAN is the only television station in Texas to use this innovation.
Forecast ahead
With the rain we are anticipating later this week, anticipate a substantial drop in tree pollen. Anytime we see rain, it's practically an assurance we will experience a big dive in mold spores.
