-- More than 82,000 FirstEnergy consumers stay without power Saturday after 2 days of strong storms.

The bulk of the interruptions are in Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake and Portage counties.

Restorations time differ. Numerous in Cuyahoga County are noted as 4 p.m. on August 30.

FirstEnergy reports 221,500 individuals lacked power during the height of the storms.

Why was the weather condition so extreme in the last two days?


"The tree- and flood-related damage is prevalent, including numerous broken poles and crossarms, downed power lines, and fallen trees and particles obstructing roadway gain access to. Our main focus at this phase is to get rid of any threats and examine the damage so that our teams can access the website of an outage and start to securely make the repairs. Due to the extent of damage, repair work is anticipated to continue into the weekend in the hardest hit areas," the company said in a press release.
